Sonia Muñoz

Senior Director, Employee Relations Stater Bros Markets

Sonia has been a member of the Stater Bros. Markets team since 1994 when she entered the company as a Courtesy Clerk. She advanced through several store-level positions before being promoted to Human Resources Assistant in the Human Resources Department in 2006. In 2014, Sonia was promoted to Human Resources Supervisor and in 2017 she accepted the role of Labor Relations Specialist. In 2018, Sonia was promoted to Manager Labor Relations and in 2019 she was promoted to Director Labor Relations. In 2020, Sonia was promoted to her current position of Senior Director Employee Relations. Sonia and her team are responsible for creating and supporting processes, procedures, and practices that promote positive relationships between management and employees. Sonia also serve as chief labor spokesperson for Stater Bros. Markets along with leading the Employee Relations team. Sonia holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from California State University San Bernardino, a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management from the University of La Verne, and an Associate of Arts from Mt. San Antonio College. Additionally, she has completed the University of Southern California Food Industry Management Program and earned a Certificate in Food Industry Management.
