Matt Hirst

Senior Director, OD, Talent Management and Learning GameStop

Matthew Hirst has mid- to senior-level experience in operations, employee relations, organizational readiness, talent assessment and development, organizational communications and branding, and executive development. He currently serves as the senior director of talent, organizational development, and learning for GME, the GameStop family of gaming, mobile, and entertainment brands.  Matt is a senior business leader, talent strategist, and business psychologist focused on performance improvement, organizational culture, and leadership capability.

Matt is currently completing a Ph.D. dissertation in psychology, which studies the relationship between decisionmaking styles and trust. He also holds a doctoral-level specialist degree in educational leadership, a master’s degree in management, and undergraduate degrees in management and finance. 

Matt served five years as a board member and grief counselor for the Grief & Loss Center of North Texas, currently serves as the president of ATD Dallas, and he serves on three university advisory boards. Matt has served as a guest instructor at Texas Christian University, the University of Texas at Arlington, and the University of Texas Dallas. Matt and his family live in the Dallas, Texas area. He and his wife are actively involved in dog rescue and foster.
