Christian Martinez

SVP, Employee Development Journeys

Christian Martinez, is the Senior Vice President of Employee Development for Journeys shoes. He is responsible for leading the teams that develop and deliver all training and professional development programs for Journeys retail stores, distribution center, customer service department, and home office employees (both Montreal and Nashville). He has been with the company for 29 years and started as a part time sales associate. He quickly moved up in the company to store manager. At 21, he was promoted to District Sales Manager based in New Orleans, La. At 29, he was promoted to Regional Vice President for the east coast based in Nashville TN. In 2011, he moved to the training team in which he has helped develop the team from 2 people to 20 people. His background gives him tremendous insight into the organization’s needs.
